Hi,
I have a 1977 45 foot Riva Super America. I need parts for my stove – do you know where I can source?
Thank you – Karen
We need to know the manufacturer of the stove – as well as it’s fuel source. In nearly any bigger marine based city there is a used marine supply where you may also find parts.
Hi, I have a 1989 Merc. Outboard 80HP. My Power Tilt/Trim system is not working. The Electric Motor is fine, however there is not any Hydraulic pressure. The Pump is built into the casting and I dont know how to check it. The Oil level is fine, but when the motor is activated the pump does not seem to function properly. Is there a replacement unit available. I have 3 wires Green, Blue and Ground. The system has two rams and One main cylinder.Any Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello- This is my 1st time using your site. I have a [30'- 1985 Searay Weekender ] with twin 350 merc.inboards. Upon changing my oil in the port engine, I found that it was a (light) brown color and only a 1/16″ of an inch above the mark. When running- both engines temp. was 240 – 245 F. Now the (PORT) engine temp. goes up to 270 F. Both engines run fine with no loss in speed. I checked the PORT Engine compression and each cyl. was aprox. 118-120 lbs. I also checked the compression on Starboard engine and found it was the same @ 118-120lbs..
This may not be the site for help of this kind, but here’s my question. How do I tell what the problem is ??? This boat is and was very clean when purchased. I owned her for 10 years now and no problems to speak of with the engines.
Thank – You fo any help

Depending on who made the stove. What kind of parts?
Honestly, Brandon Man. is pretty small – I would suggest contacting the chamber of commerce there and seeing if they can recommend someone local or a company that may have dealt with the boat builder. Typically, until there gets to be enough ‘collectors’ of a certain old boat finally get together on the internet, most of the information is ‘lost’.
Hello Bob, this is typical of a bad exhaust manifold. I would pull the manifolds off the port engine and have them pressure tested. I would bet you one is leaking! If that is the case plan on replacing all of them soon. If one is bad the rest are soon to fail.
You have a bad power trim pump. Here is the Mercury Mariner, 12v (Volt), PT475TN-4 replacement motor and pump assembly.
Those may be a Bomar part. What year is the boat?
I would remove the motor and make sure the coupler is there. If the motor is connected to the pump (coupler installed) and the engine wont lift, the first thing to check is the oil level. If the oil is full you may have air in the system or the pump has failed and needs to be replaced.
I have a 81 starcraft with GM 120hp and mercruiser sterndrive. The power tilt is not functioning. the Pwr trim switch, indicator gauge begs out and trim lights work on the dash and T-handle swich causes same results. I’ve replaced both trim soleniods – same problem. Is it possible the solenoids are wired opposite? They are marked with – and an s . The hyrdralic pump doe not run, lift or lower.
Start with electrical – confirm your ground. Confirm power and where it is going.
i have a 1976 searay 25 ft weekender mcm330 engine i am having frouble with the trim tilt can you suggest where i can posibly get a repair mamual for this boat
Seloc makes a fine repair manual.
I have a 1987 mercury 45 the trim & tilt motor won’t operate but I can’t get it off. Have removed the two (2) bolts but it won’t budge. Does one of the set screws wholed it in? I can’t find a part number on it, to buy a new one. Need help PLEASE!
